Mrs. Sharmilla S (Akkaraipattu, Sri Lanka) was diagnosed with the heart illness when she was 9 years old. In the year 2017, she was 25 years of age with a child who was only 2 years old at that time. She was on the government’s list awaiting a free surgery for some time as her family couldn’t afford it through a private hospital. We came to know about her deteriorating health condition through her neighbor who contacted us requesting for financial assistance. As per to the cardiologist Dr. Arulnithy, she needed a valve replacement in the heart immediately to save her life as her heart seemed to have enlarged putting her at risk.
