18th Feb 2019 – This newly wed lovely couple Pirasanth & Thurka from Norway donated $1000 (CDN) to my charity as their wedding gift, through which they wished to help a family from North-East Sri Lanka with a livelihood assistance.
We managed to help Mr & Mrs Suntharalingam from Devipuram-Mullaitivu, with a donation of $707 through which they bought a Cow. They have a 12 year old son Abiharan, who has been struggling with kidney disease he had acquired due to drinking the filthy water at the final stages of the war during 2009. They met me during my last visit Nov-Dec 2018 and explained the challenges they were facing to meet the expenses related to taking him to get dialyses & also to provide healthy food. Through this Cow, they will be able to sell milk and gain a revenue of Rs 10,000 – Rs 12,000 a month. Hope this will get them back on track.
We also managed to help a mother from Kiran- Batticaloa, who lost 3 of her sons in the war. Her condition was so pathetic and hence we immediately sent $363 to buy goat which she had requested.
Not one, but we managed to provide 2 livelihood assistance with the donation provided by Pirasanth & Thurka. Thanks to Thillai for connecting them. Please join me in wishing this lovely couple much happiness in their new life together!!!
திருமண பந்தத்தில் இணைந்த நோர்வே நாட்டில் வசிக்கும், கொடை உள்ளம் கொண்ட தம்பதியினர் “பிரசாந்த் – துர்கா”, தாங்கள் மணவாழ்க்கையை தொடங்கும் நேரம் தாயகத்தில் உள்ள ஒரு குடும்பமும் நலம் பெற்று வாழ வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பி ஆயிரம் கனடிய டொலர்களை அனுப்பியிருந்தனர். அவர்களின் இந்த நல்ல சிந்தனையை நிறைவு செய்யும் வண்ணம், அங்கு நான் சென்ற நேரம் (Nov-Dec 2018) என்னை சந்தித்து ஒரு பால் மாடு வழங்குமாறு கோரிக்கை விடுத்த திருமதி கோகிலா சுந்தரலிங்கம் (தேவிபுரம், முல்லைதீவு) அவர்களுக்கு ரூபாய் ஒரு லட்சம் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இவரின் 12 வயது மகனான அபீகரன் 2009 நடந்த இறுதி யுத்தத்தின் போது, முள்ளிவாய்க்காலில் சுத்தமில்லாத தண்ணீரை அருந்தியதின் விளைவாக சிறுநீரகம் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு பெரும் அவதிக்கு உள்ளாகியிருக்கிறார். இவருக்கு போஷாக்கான உணவு மற்றும் டையலசிஸ் செய்வதற்கான போக்குவரத்துக்கு செலவு ஆகியவற்றிக்கு பெற்றோர் பெரும் பாட்டை எதிர் கொள்கின்றனர் என்ற பட்சத்தில், அவர்களுக்கு புதுமண தம்பதியினரின் சார்பில் பால் பசு ஒன்றினை வழங்கி உள்ளோம். இதன் மூலமாக மாதம் ருபாய் அந்த குடும்பத்திற்கு மாதம் ரூபாய் 10,000 – 12,000 வரை வருமானம் கிடைக்கும். அவர்களின் குடும்பம் நிமிரும். மிகுதி இருந்த பணத்தில், அடுத்து ஆடு கேட்டு கோரிக்கை விடுத்த கிரான், மட்டக்களப்பை சேர்ந்த மூன்று மாவீரர்களின் தாயாரான பிள்ளையம்மா சுப்ரமணியம் அவர்களுக்கு ஆடுகள் வாங்க ரூபாய் 50,000 அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். மூன்று பிள்ளைகளை கொடுத்த இவர், வாழ்வாதாரத்துக்கு தவிப்பதை கேட்க மிகவும் மனம் வலித்தது. இனி அவரும் துன்பம் நீங்கி வாழ இறைவனை வேண்டுவோம். புதுமணத்தம்பதியினர் ஆசை பட்டது போல் ஒன்றல்ல, இரண்டு வாழ்வாதாரங்களை முல்லையிலும் -மட்டு மாவட்டங்களிலும் வழங்கி மனம் நிறைவுற்றோம். இந்த நல்ல உள்ளங்களை தொடர்புபடுத்தி தந்த நண்பர் தில்லை அவர்களுக்கு நன்றிகள்! பிரசாந்த் – துர்கா தம்பதியினர் நீடூடி வாழ்க!! பல்லாண்டு!!
